MQ-8 LPG Gas Sensor

The MQ-8 is a type of gas sensor module designed to detect the presence of LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) in the air. It's commonly used in gas leak detection systems for safety purposes in environments where LPG is used, such as homes, industries, and commercial kitchens. The MQ-8 sensor operates based on the principle of the electrical conductivity of the gas. When it comes in contact with LPG, its resistance decreases, and this change in resistance is measured to determine the gas concentration.

Typically, the MQ-8 sensor is equipped with a heating element that heats up the sensing material within the sensor. When the LPG gas molecules interact with this material, it causes a change in its electrical conductivity, which is then measured by the sensor's circuitry.
